Part E Yearly Data Comparison

EEOICPA Medical Benefits Card

This page explores EEOICPA Part E cases, administrative costs and the amount of compensation paid to workers who were made ill or died due to working at Department of Energy nuclear weapons plants.  Part E covers any illness covered by any toxic substance other than radiation.  The EECAP website provided additional information on Part E claims.

The data for these charts are taken from the OWCP Annual Reports to Congress for years 2005-2010 and the DOL Statistics webpage at the end of the year for 2011- 2015.

Claims may report numbers for more than one worker as claims encompass survivor claims which may include multiple siblings for a deceased worker.  Cases come closest to reporting the number of workers, although this is may not be exactly true.  Also, DOL did a system change over in 2012 which causes the 2012 and 2013 numbers to be extremely strange in some instances.
